New Beginnings
YAS CEO resigns after 8yrs, Board promotes from within
In early November of this year, Tracey Izzard resigned as Youth Advocate Services' long standing CEO to begin a new chapter of her professional journey. During Tracey's nearly nine years tenure, YAS has more than doubled in size and added Adoption, Mental Health and Home Visiting to our service array, trained many new therapists and served thousands of children and families in the community. YAS thanks Tracey for her hard work and dedication to clients and staff, as well as the commitment to making YAS a successful agency and we wish her great things in her new adventure.
Just before the holidays were in full swing, YAS Board of Trustees appointed Sarah Cochey as the new CEO on December 14th. Sarah was selected from a group of highly qualified applicants. Sarah has more than 10 years of experience working in non-profits. She has spent the majority of that time at YAS working with the Early Childhood Programs, first as an Early Intervention Service Coordinator and most recently as Help Me Grow (HMG) Program Manager, supervising both HMG Home Visiting and Early Intervention programs for the past 6 years. Sarah earned her Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University, is a licensed social worker and an early intervention specialist. "Sarah has been a dedicated member of YAS for many years and we are excited to see her lead this agency," said Aimee Stitt, Board President.
