YAS Celebrates 40 Years

As 2018 begins and we look forward to the year ahead, we are excited to begin celebrating Youth Advocate Services 40th year!

What began in 1975 as an idea among several foster parents who felt that the youth in Franklin County were not receiving the best possible care through the facilities available at the time and sought to provide the care needed, has grown into a nonprofit agency with a rich 40-year history. Today we provide treatment and family foster care, adoption support, psychiatric care/medication management, Ohio Early Intervention, Help Me Grow Home Visiting and Behavioral Health services in Franklin and surrounding counties.

As the first therapeutic foster care network in Ohio, YAS has built on that solid foundation as additional programs were added over the years. With the first foster youth placed in February 1978 and officially incorporating as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in October 1978, 2018 marks YAS’ 40th year. There is much to be celebrated in all that YAS has accomplished over the years, most importantly the positive impact that has been made on thousands of children and families who have received our services.

We continue our commitment to improving every life we serve through a culture that is dedicated to placing customer service and quality care above all else. 2018 is sure to be a busy and exciting year for YAS, follow us on Facebook and check our website for updates on how we are celebrating 40 years!
